International BusinessInternational Payments and SEPA Credit Transfers

We can offer expert help with making regular and one-off international payments in sterling and other currencies and cheaper regular payments across the EEU with SEPA.

International Payments

Whenever you need to make international payment across borders, we can find the best method for you:

Priority Payments

  • The fastest and most secure HSBC method of making international payments to any country in the world, in any tradeable currency
  • Ideal if you want to send higher value international payments or if the speed of delivery is the most important factor
  • A secure method for sending international payments to less developed countries
  • HSBC manages urgent Euro payments across Europe through the real-time gross settlement system: RTGS, known as 'Target'.

SEPA Credit Transfers

The Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA) is designed to create a convenient single market for batched, non-priority Euro payments within Europe. SEPA's reach extends to over 30 European countries and we will work in partnership with you to create and implement the right SEPA strategy for your business.

  • A non-priority service where the beneficiary will receive funds the day after your account is debited
  • All SEPA payments require a BIC (Bank Identifier Code) and IBAN (International Bank Account Number) for the beneficiary
  • We offer a BIC and IBAN validation/conversion tool enabling customers to make the most of SEPA payments
  • We provide full end-to-end data from remitter to beneficiary in electronic format
  • We process instructions simply and effectively via HSBCnet.
